Bulk Supply Hoppers & Parts Feeder Machines

Homer City Automation Syntron® Parts Feeder Machines (PFM) combine a bulk storage hopper and controlled feeder to gently and consistently deliver parts into downstream parts handling equipment, including vibratory bowl feeders and rotary centrifugal feeders.

By maintaining the proper quantity of parts in the feeder bowl, supply hoppers help improve part orientation, feed-rate consistency, and overall system efficiency while reducing the need for manual loading.

Multiple Hopper Capacities

PFM supply hoppers are available in a range of capacities to accommodate different part sizes and production requirements:

• 1/4 cubic foot
• 1/2 cubic foot
• 1 cubic foot
• 2 cubic feet
• 3 cubic feet
• 5 cubic feet
• Available in low- or high-frame configurations

Adjustable Feed Rate

The flow of parts can be easily adjusted to match the requirements of your feeding system. A slide gate at the front of the hopper controls the depth of material, while the feeder control allows the operator to fine-tune the delivery rate.

This provides a steady, controlled supply of parts to the feeder bowl without overloading the system.

Stainless Steel Construction

PFM supply hoppers are available in stainless steel and can be configured for applications requiring FDA-suitable construction, making them an option for food, pharmaceutical, medical, and other sanitary manufacturing environments.

Controls & Optional Equipment

Homer City Automation supply hoppers can be configured with accessories to improve automated operation and material flow, including:

• Flow switch for automatic demand-based loading
• Paddle-style or inductive proximity flow switches for smaller units
• Hopper vibrator to help prevent bridging and clogging
• High- and/or low-level photo eyes
• 115V or 230V
• 50 or 60 Hz
• Single-phase AC power
